Last updated: April 3, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how LynxSight (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit our website at lynxsight.net and when you interact with our products and services, including the LynxSight™ Manufacturing Budget Engine. By using this website, you agree to the terms described in this Policy.

1. Who We Are

LynxSight is a provider of Excel-native Financial Planning Engines for manufacturing and industrial companies. Unlike traditional SaaS platforms, our solutions are designed as “Stand-alone Hardened Engines.” Once downloaded, the product functions in a completely air-gapped manner relative to our servers. Your operational and financial data are processed locally within your environment and are never transmitted to us.

2. Information We Collect

We collect two main types of information:

Information you provide voluntarily:

  • Contact Forms: Name, email address, company name, job title, and any message you choose to include for demo or support requests.

  • Business Communication: Information shared via email, meeting requests, and contractual discussions.

Information collected automatically:

  • Usage Data: IP address (shortened/anonymized), browser type, operating system, referring URL, and pages visited.

  • Cookies and Analytics: Small files stored on your device to help us understand website usage and improve performance via tools like MonsterInsights.

Note: We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data (e.g., health information, political opinions, or religious beliefs).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • To operate, maintain, and improve our website experience.

  • To respond to your inquiries, demo requests, and support questions.

  • To analyze aggregate website performance (e.g., via Google Analytics).

  • To comply with legal obligations.

The “No-Data-Touch” Principle: We distinguish between Communication Data (your email/name) and Operational Data (your business numbers inside the engine). We have ZERO access to your Operational Data. LynxSight™ is technically incapable of seeing or storing the financial inputs you process within the engine.

4. Cookies and Analytics

Our website uses cookies and third‑party analytics tools (such as Google Analytics via MonsterInsights). These tools collect anonymized or pseudonymized usage data to help us optimize the site. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings.

5. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the UK, we process your personal data under the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a Contract: Responding to demo requests or preparing proposals.

  • Legitimate Interests: Improving our website and B2B business communications.

  • Consent: For specific marketing communications and non-essential cookies.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy. Contact and lead data are retained for a reasonable period to manage our business relationship. When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymized.

7. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:

  • Service Providers: Hosting, email, and analytics providers operating under data processing agreements.

  • Payment Processors: We use Gumroad for secure transactions. LynxSight never sees, processes, or stores your credit card or payment credentials. These are handled exclusively by the third-party processor.

  • Authorities: When required by law or to protect our legal rights.

8. International Data Transfers

When we transfer personal data internationally to our service providers, we ensure appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place to keep your data protected according to applicable laws.

9. Your Rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, or object to the processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights, please contact us at support@lynxsight.net.

10. Security and Engineering Integrity

We use industry-standard technical measures to protect the personal data we control. Furthermore, the VBA-locked architecture of the LynxSight™ engine is designed for local execution only. There are no hidden APIs, webhooks, or telemetry features connecting your financial outputs to our servers. The engine is technically incapable of transmitting your data.

11. Third‑Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those external platforms.

12. Children’s Privacy

Our services are intended for business users and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
